Here’s a look ahead to the rest of this week in South Dakota State hoops. I’ll have live game coverage Thursday and Saturday from Brookings:

Men (16-6, 7-2)
Tonight vs. USD (8-13, 4-5), 7 p.m.

Sagarin says: Jacks by 14
Streaks and such:  The Jacks have won 26 in a row at home.
Of note: The game will air live on Midco Sports Net. … USD leads the Summit in scoring offense at 73.2 points per game, while SDSU is second at 72.6. … The Coyotes last win in Brookings game during the 1999-2000 season. … At last check, general admission tickets were still available. There was a capacity crowd for this game last year and the last time SDSU played at home (Saturday vs. NDSU). … USD is minus-4.0 in rebound margin compared to plus-2.2 for the Jacks. … SDSU has lowed its defensive scoring average by two points during its five-game win streak. 

Saturday vs. Kansas City (6-16, 3-6), 4 p.m.
Sagarin says: Jacks by 20
Streaks and such: The Kangaroos are the last visiting team to win in Frost Arena.
Of note: SDSU has won seven of the last eight meetings, including a 77-61 decision on the road earlier this month. … The game will air live on Midco Sports Net and Fox College Sports. … The Jacks are ranked 18th in the latest mid-major poll. … The Roos have lost two in a row – both at home – after winning 2 of 3 on a road trip. … SDSU leads the Summit in assists at 14.5 per game, while Kansas City is last at 9.8. … Jacks guard Nate Wolters (21.0 ppg) has been passed by Oakland shooter Travis Bader (21.6 ppg) for the conference scoring lead. Wolters continues to pace the Summit in assists at 5.7 per game.

Women (16-6, 8-1)
Saturday at Kansas City (7-14, 3-5), 2 p.m.

Streaks and such: SDSU leads the series 12-1
Of note: This is a rematch of the Summit League championship game from last year. SDSU won that (in overtime) and the first regular-season meeting this season by a count of 82-47. … Roos guard Eilise O’Connor has been named Summit player of the week three times, including the last two in a row. … Kansas City was involved in two one-point decisions on the road last week, winning one and losing one. … Still no Kim Nezianya for the Roos. The standout senior forward has all but seven games due to a knee injury. … SDSU is ranked 18th in the latest mid-major poll.
