South Dakota State has reached the information stage of the push to build a football stadium, setting up a series of town halls to explain things to the public. The first was Monday in Brookings.

A member of the WBCA board, Johnston recently participated in meetings that touched on several recommendations made to the NCAA by former WNBA commissioner Val Ackerman.

The Too Much TV podcast gets back to business this week by venturing out to the Old Ballgame. Guest Layne Somsen, formerly of Yankton High and South Dakota State, takes us inside his rookie season of pro ball pitching for the Billings Mustangs, a Cincinnati Reds affiliate.

The righty moved to 3-0 on the season and lowered his ERA to 1.33 Monday night by allowing no hits and striking out three in 2.1 innings of work against Great Falls.
